How Much Is My Damaged Car Worth?
The value of an accident-damaged car depends on the extent of the damage, its age, mileage and overall condition. A vehicle with damaged bodywork but a working engine and gearbox can be worth considerably more than one with extensive structural or mechanical damage.

Category S vehicles have suffered structural damage and have been considered uneconomical to repair by the insurer. These vehicles may be repaired and returned to the road, provided the repairs are carried out correctly and the vehicle is roadworthy.
Category N vehicles have been written off because of non-structural damage. This can include damage to body panels, electrical systems and other components. The damage may still be substantial, even though it hasn't been classified as structural.
